We are more than a nondenominational church along the coast of South Carolina. We are doing our part in being a catalyst for spiritual awakening and change in our community, nation, and the world. We are a family that is deeply connected to one another by faith and shared desire to see lives transformed through the message of Jesus Christ.

Our mission at LCC is to change lives through the message of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this through our five purposes – connect, grow, serve, reach, and worship.

Our vision is to see thousands of people living in our region transformed by the Gospel.

Five Purposes

CONNECT: Identifying With Others in God’s Family

“Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” – Ephesians 2:19

GROW: Growing in Spiritual Maturity and Teaching Others

“So we continue to preach Christ to each person, using all wisdom to warn and to teach everyone, in order to bring each one into God’s presence as a mature person in Christ.” – Colossians 1:28

SERVE: Serving God and Others

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:11-12

REACH: Sharing Jesus With Others

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

WORSHIP: Magnify God

“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” – Psalm 34:3

Our Story

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9

God began writing our story on Hilton Head Island in 1994. Forty-one people gathered for a bible study that quickly turned into a rapidly growing church. In 1999, Jeff and Darlene Cranston took a fearless and courageous step in following God’s call to come and lead a small church plant deep in the lowcountry of South Carolina. Twenty years later, the Lord continues to amaze us by allowing us to see not only the growth of the church, but the transformation of families, offices, and community through the message of Jesus Christ.

How can I get professional Christian counseling?

Sometimes we need some focused and professional help to get through tough issues in our lives. LCC has a strong working relationship with three Christian counselors in the Bluffton area. All are members of LCC, but run their practices independently of the church. All are South Carolina licensed professionals and are strong Christ-followers, who use biblical truth and proven counseling tools to help you achieve freedom, healing and relief.

We have several care teams including Cancer Care, Food, and Crisis Teams (various emergency needs). We build these teams around volunteer leaders who have a passion to reach groups of people in Jesus’ name. For questions or more information on serving, please email getinvolved@lowcountrycc.org or visit lowcountrycc.org/connect/care.

What type of security measures does your church take before someone can volunteer in the children’s ministry?

We run careful background checks all adult volunteers and require each individual to take a class on policies and procedures for working with different age levels.

We serve all children, ages six weeks through 5th grade.

When is children’s programming available?

If you have a child over six weeks old, we encourage you to check them in at the LCC Kids area before services begin. Our children’s programming is specifically designed to build faith through Bible stories, songs, and group activities for all ages through 5th grade and is available during all LCC services.
