Year-End Giving

Thank you so much for your generous giving in 2016. We pray we will end the year by celebrating Jesus’ birthday by giving Him a gift to celebrate His coming to earth to save us from our sins.

As you review and understand clearly ALL of your sources of income in 2016, have you honored God by giving at least the first tenth to your local church? If you have not planned for any year-end giving, then ensure you do so before December 31st.

The idea of generosity is not something limited to churches. It affects so much more about who we are as individuals and how we make decisions. Here's an interesting secular take on giving worth reading from The Wall Street Journal. Learn more and check out some helpful insights into the psychology of giving, ramifications of not giving, and the unexpected joy giving brings. Please note: LCC does not endorse all views in this article. Generosity is an expression of our obedience to God as believers. Of course, giving is not a means to get to heaven.

As December 31st quickly approaches, please consider these important reminders regarding giving to LowCountry Community Church:

  • Contributions to LowCountry Community Church are tax deductible as allowed by law.

  • IRS rules recognize a contribution on the day of delivery. In order for contributions to be deductible for 2016, they must:

Contributions received on the Sunday, January 1st, offering will be treated as 2017 gifts.

Remember that thanks to your generosity, our church is able to function in a high capacity to seek a mighty movement from the Holy Spirit. In fact, we have seen over 150 people baptized this past year. We took our teenagers on retreats, we have had multiple missions teams reach our community, nation, and world this year. Our kids ministry has high-quality staff, facilities, and curriculum to lead our children closer to Christ. And the interior of the building work has resumed.

Our church is up in attendance right now by 8% from this time last year. We are debt-free and continue to operate that way. However, our weekly giving has suffered slightly since before Hurricane Matthew and then throughout the subsequent weeks, and have not regained what was lost during that time. Please plan accordingly for your regular giving and for your year-end giving here at LCC.

We have an exciting vision from God to move into the future. This is an exciting ministry, and giving is essential to see the movement continue.

Thank you for your generous support of the ministries of LowCountry Community Church.
