How You Can Help the People Hit Hardest by Hurricane Dorian
Hurricane Dorian hit the islands of the Bahamas as a Category 5 storm, causing extensive destruction and leaving 76,000 people homeless, without food, clean water and access to medical care.
You can help the people of the Bahamas who were affected by this devastating storm by donating to Samaritan’s Purse, a relief organization LCC has partnered with for many years, including in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, which hit the Lowcountry in 2016.
Samaritan’s Purse is already on the ground in the Bahamas. More than 30 tons of emergency relief supplies have been airlifted to Nassau, and the organization has deployed its Emergency Field Hospital to provide lifesaving care to Hurricane Dorian victims.
“Our team on the ground is seeing catastrophic devastation and widespread suffering. Our focus is on getting critically needed supplies and medical care to those who need it most,” said Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan's Purse. “Please continue to pray for the Bahamas as we bring relief and share the comfort, hope and love of Jesus Christ.”
Your generosity will go a long way to helping all who were affected by Hurricane Dorian. Please pray for the relief efforts and give today.
