5 Fall Lowcountry Events Your Whole Family Will Enjoy

Fall is upon us, and we’re dreaming of some cooler temperatures! It’s time to get out and enjoy the awesome variety of fun activities that the Lowcountry has to offer. From pumpkin patches to festivals and street fairs, these local events are sure to please your whole family.

Symphony Under the Stars

October 1-2, 7:30 p.m., Oscar Frazier Park, Bluffton, S.C.

The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra presents R.E.S.P.E.C.T., a tribute to Aretha Franklin. This is a great option for families with older children. Refreshments will be available for purchase or you can bring your own.

Cost: $25 per person for lawn seating, $50 per person for table seating

Lowcountry Produce Handmade Market

October 12, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., 1919 Trask Parkway, Lobeco, S.C.

Pick out your perfect pumpkin and enjoy perusing the craft stands. There will be vendors from all over the Lowcountry, showcasing their handmade products from beautiful works of art to adorable birdhouses and more. Children will love visiting the various animals living on the farm.

Cost: Pumpkins vary in price

Beaufort Food Truck Festival

October 12, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Beaufort Town Center, Beaufort, S.C.

Come to support the community and fill your bellies with a variety of tasty dishes offered by more than a dozen food trucks! This event is raising money for Camp Hope, a summer camp dedicated to children with cognitive disabilities. Enjoy live music, games, and an interactive kids zone for your little ones.

Pumpkin Patch Carnival

October 25, 4:00-8:00 p.m., Shelter Cove, Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Get your Halloween celebration started with this event featuring carnival games and, of course, candy! Children also have an opportunity to get more use from their Halloween costumes by entering the costume contest!

Cost: Free

Spookalicious

Saturday, October 26, from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., The Sandbox, Hilton Head Island, S.C.

The Sandbox has several Halloween-themed crafts and activities in additional to its regular attractions. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their costumes and participate in a fun scavenger hunt to win candy.

Cost: $6 per person (children under 12 months free)

J’nan Tierney lives in Bluffton with her husband, William, and her two children, Ellie (6) and Liam (3). She works part-time as a caregiver for seniors in our community. She enjoys hiking, disc golf, photography and taking on creative endeavors.
