What’s the weirdest or most interesting job you have ever had?
My grandfather owned the local grocery store, and I worked in the produce department alongside him during the summer. I walked to work because I wasn't old enough to drive (or be on the payroll).
What job would you like to have if you were not working in ministry?
A zookeeper
Where is your favorite place to be?
In the river
What is your favorite book?
Anything by Nicholas Sparks
What is your favorite movie?
“Forrest Gump.” I can pretty much recite the entire movie … all 2+ hours of it. And my family loves when I watch it because I walk around quoting it for days.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Country
What is your favorite food?
Steak and Krispy Kreme chocolate iced donuts
What is your favorite thing about living in the Lowcountry?
The river. We grew up spending every summer weekend in the river fishing, swimming and tubing. When I've been out of town, I know I'm home when I can smell the river.
What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Especially after this crazy year, and when things just don't seem to be going right, God reminds us that He has a plan for us.
Briefly tell us about your role at LCC …
I am the nursery coordinator at LCC. My job is to make sure that the babies are loved on and cared for on Sunday mornings.
How have you seen or experienced God at work in your ministry?
At Child Dedication. These little ones cannot make decisions on their own, so to see family and friends gather around them and promise to guide them to Jesus is God at work.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I love to hunt. I've been hunting with my dad and uncles since I was little. A few years ago, I bottle raised and released two baby deer. (They were released in a safe spot away from hunters!)
