When we break the bread, it is a symbolic representation of when Jesus’ body was broken for us. As we receive the bread, we thank Jesus for allowing His body to be broken for us. (Matthew 26:26)

When we drink the juice, we are symbolizing Jesus’ shed blood, which, according to the Bible, washed away our sins. As we drink, we thank Jesus for allowing us to be forgiven and made new through His sacrifice. (Matthew 26:27-28)

At LCC, we want to use what we have to help others. Each time we receive communion we practice this value of serving with a Church Family Emergency Fund called a Benevolence Offering. 100% of the money given to this fund provides financial help to LCC families going through an unplanned, unexpected crisis. You can give to this fund online or at the giving kiosks on Communion Sunday.

We know that needs aren’t always financial. If you’re struggling and need prayer, there is a special time of prayer available in the Student Auditorium after each Communion service. There will be staff and elders there waiting to pray for you.

No family expects to face childhood cancer. The journey for these brave families is often overwhelming and isolating. At every step, they need our prayers, love, and support. In honor of the strength and faith of one of our own LCC families in this battle, this next Family Serve Day will be extra close to home.

On November 16, come together to encourage the children, families, and healthcare providers at MUSC Children’s Health Cancer Care at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. As a family, you’ll play an active role in supporting each child’s journey by building specialized Care Kits and writing messages of hope that will remind the children that they are loved and not alone! 

LCC is excited to host the annual banquet for Christian Adoption Services (CAS), one of our local outreach partners. This is an incredible opportunity for our church family to learn about how God is working and moving through their ministry. This banquet is open to everyone at LCC. At this year's banquet series, CAS is honored to have Dove Award-Winning Platinum Recording Artist Mark Schultz share his story of adoption. The banquet will be held on Thursday, November 14 at 6:30pm and will feature dinner and an inspiring program. Tickets are available for purchase through November 5.

The Lord has moved powerfully through our Outreach Teams this year. In partnership with local and international ministry partners, outreach teams have made a lasting impact, bringing help and hope to thousands here in our backyard and worldwide. We know He has so much in store for the rest of 2024 and in 2025.

Do you want to become more like Jesus? The Grow Class will help you develop the habits you need to jump-start your spiritual growth. This class, taught by Adult Ministries Director Erin Pickering, will give you an overview of the three basic spiritual habits every Christian needs in order to grow: daily time with God (prayer and Bible reading), giving, and fellowship.

God did not design ministry for just a few with seminary degrees. We believe that every member of our church is a minister. During the Serve Class, you will learn how God can use your Spiritual Gifts, your Heart (passions), your Abilities, your Personality, and your Experiences to minister to the needs of others.

God gave you these gifts for you to use to build up His Church. He also gave you a passion for particular activities and subjects. Having the heart for specific things, people or circumstances is to be used to guide us into a ministry that we really care about. In the Serve Class, Guest Services Director Rebekah Hastilow will show you how to assess your abilities, gifts and passions to see where in the ministry you will love to serve.

God created you with a purpose. That personal, yet church-wide purpose, means connecting flawed human beings with our perfect and eternal God. Your own story of how God has worked in your life is one of the most effective tools you have for connecting people to God. In the Reach Class, you will learn how to communicate that story to your neighborhood, workplace and around the world. God’s global plan includes reaching people from every nation with the good news of Jesus. In this class, you’ll get a picture of what God is doing throughout the world to bring His people to Himself, and how you can be part of His global plan.

The Reach Class will take place in the Student Lounge during the 10am service on September 15. Register to help us best serve you by providing appropriate seating.

When you attend a new church, it can be easy to feel out of place. We’ve created a special day just for you to connect with others and meet the Pastors of LCC as you find your place to call home!

The day will begin at 10am with our Connect Class where you will learn about LCC, our beliefs, core values, and how we approach ministry. After class, we will attend the worship service together and then gather in the Student Auditorium where we will share a light lunch with Lead Pastor Jeff Cranston and Executive Pastor Jason Best.

So sign up, come to LCC on September 8, and get connected! As a result, you will grow in your faith, build new relationships, and find a place where you belong!

MVMNT Nights are unique outreach opportunities for students to invite their friends to church. These themed nights feature guest speakers and giveaways, not to mention a few surprises along the way! The next MVMNT Night is September 4 and is Western-themed!

How can something simple like purchasing donuts contribute to spreading the life-changing message of Jesus Christ around the world? Our South Africa mission team is serving donuts on Sunday, September 1 outside after each service to raise money for their trip this fall! 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will support the individuals going on this trip!

Students, MDWK is back starting Wednesday, August 21! Get ready for another semester where you’ll grow deeper in your faith alongside other students just like you!

During MDWK Gatherings, you’ll find a community where you can belong and encounter Jesus in a real, passionate, and authentic way. You’ll open the Word, sing, spend time in small groups, and have fun!

Parents, you're invited to our parent experience night at MDWK! Mingle with parents, meet the team, provide info and feedback, and experience what your students do on a typical MDWK (dinner is provided!).

Parents, your kids are invited to explore God's truth through STEM! Kindergarteners through 5th graders will be guided in a 6-week series on the miracles of Jesus, using engaging science experiments and other hands-on lessons.

This fall, most groups will be walking through the Rooted Experience. For those who would like to grow deeper in their faith in other ways, on-campus classes will kick-off on Monday, August 19!

Young Adults fall kickoff is Tuesday, August 13 at 6:30pm on the backfield for a free cookout!

Building community in a new place and outside of work or school can feel difficult. In our young adult ministry, you’ll discover community and Christ-likeness among other 18-29 year olds. The young adult ministry meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm for free food, small groups, and a biblical framework for life as a young adult in today’s society.

As a parent, you are your child's most significant influence, and we're here to partner and equip you with the correct information to guide your child through their spiritual life! When children start asking questions about God and salvation, many parents don't know how to guide their children along their next steps. Is your child asking questions about God, or did they recently pray to receive Jesus as their Savior?

At the We Believe class, the LowCo Kids team will guide and partner with you to walk your child through the next steps in their faith journey. In this class, you'll learn how to lead your kids through the story of Salvation in a way they can understand. You'll also learn how to show them the importance of their testimony and how to share their story with others!

Moving to a new area or coming to a new church can be daunting, especially if you don’t know anyone, and it’s hard to make new friends in a new place. Group Connect is the perfect opportunity to meet others just like you and find your people as you learn more about joining a life group. This low-pressure event helps place you in a group with those in a similar age, stage of life, and neighborhood so you can form real connections as you grow closer to Jesus in community!

Group Connect takes place in the Concourse on Sunday, August 4 after each service.
