Father Into Your Hands

Jesus is willingly giving up His soul into the Father’s hands, indicating that He was about to die – and that God had accepted His sacrifice. He “offered up Himself unblemished to God.”

Luke 23:44-46 (NASB)

44It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour,45because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.46And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice,
said, “Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.” Having said this, He breathed His last.

Hebrews 9:14 (NASB)

14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
