No Condemnation

I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin. Romans 7:21-25, NLT

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1-4, NASB

HEAR GOD’S PROMISE.

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. Romans 3:20, NIV

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1, NASB

So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin (7:25). Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (8:1)

God is not angry with me.

God does not punish me as a believer.

He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; He does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve. For as the skies are high above the earth, so His loyal love towers over His faithful followers. As far as the eastern horizon is from the west, so He removes the guilt of our rebellious actions from us. Psalm 103:10-12, NET

God does not reject me.

God does not keep His blessings from me.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…” Ephesians 1:3, NASB

We are either in Adam or we are in Christ.

SEE GOD’S PROCESS.

You can’t. God can. Here’s how.

It’s all about one law that set me free from another law.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did…” Romans 8:2-3a, NASB

God is not angry with me.

God does not punish me as a believer.

God does not reject me.

God does not keep His blessings from me.

If you make a self-condemning statement replace it with a God-glorifying statement.

Read Romans 7 and 8.
