You are invited to LCC’s Ash Wednesday service—a time of worship, reflection, prayer and response to God’s Word, culminating in the marking of our foreheads with ashes in the symbol of the cross. Placing ashes on the forehead is a biblical image and expression of our grief over our sin and our repentance toward God. It also gives each of us an opportunity to bear witness to our hope to anyone who asks about the cross on our foreheads throughout the day.
